Ichalkaranji

Ichalkaranji - Better known as Manchester of Maharashtra. The city is well known for its textile industry. Manufacturing industry also has grown remarkably in last decades. The city, one of the fasted growing cities in Maharashtra, has good facilities for education in arts, commerce, science and engineering.

Ichalkaranji is situated on the banks of river Panchaganga. Ichalkaranji has a cricket stadium named Rajaram Stadium which can hold Ranaji Matches. There is a palace belonging to Shri Narayanrao Babasaheb Ghorpade which is now converted to an engineering institute named Dattajirao Kadam Textile and Engineering Institute Ichalkaranji (DKTEI).

Ichalkaranji is a beautiful city. Its rarely populated and polluted. It's infrasructure is also growing fast.. Ex. - newly constructed cluster roads! Most of the people's lives rotate around the warm wheel of powerlooms, their hearts beats on the "khat-khat" of powerloom.
